Congratulations are in order for Vic Hillier who becomes this year's 'WAGS' Champion.   Vic finished 6 points clear of the field.   He also posted the highest score of the season and his lowest counting score was 2 points better than anyone else's.   A comprehensive victory in all departments.

Best front nine score  = 23 points - Vic Hillier
Best back nine score = 20 points - Vic / Colin / Eddy / Le Frenchman

Format / Rules

In an effort to simplify the system we have changed from our eclectic method of scoring.   We will simply compete against each other on the day using the Stableford system, all players will start the season, or their first game, playing off  full club handicap.

bullet

The best front 9 - the best back 9 - the best total points will each win a dividend on the day.

bullet

If any element involves a tie there is no countback and all bets are off.

bullet

The winner will automatically have his handicap reduced by 1 shot.

bullet

The above reduction will apply throughout the winter.

bullet

If a player scores 40 points or more points an additional permanent reduction in handicap will be made as follows:-

bullet

Handicap 1 -9 = 1 shot:   Handicap 10 - 18 = 2 shots:   Handicap 19+ = 3 shots.

bullet

If a player 'walks off' because of poor play the same reductions as above will apply.

bullet

Birdies will be rewarded by 10p from each player / eagles 20p per player.

bullet

As a bit of fun I shall publish al players scores on a weekly basis

bullet

We agreed to count the best 5 scores over the course of the winter and the winner will receive a 'bonus', as yet to be decided.

bullet

If on a particular week a player would like to join us we will welcome him gladly, but...

bullet

...that player will have his handicap reduced by the same amount as the person with the biggest reduction so far among the 'WAGS' playing that day.
