Tynemouth Golf Club - my home course.

The club have just completed a new up to date website and it is full of information for members and visitors alike.   It includes hole by hole guide / scorecard / results / fixtures and many other features.   Good site, have a look.

bullet

It has a feature named 'howdidIdo' which is great.   Check out your medal score / handicap and much more.

bullet

It gives the stats for hundreds of golf clubs in the UK, including yours!

Whitley Bay Golf Club - Tyne & Wear

In 2005 my cousin Bob Casson 'drove in' as the captain.    His wife Eleanor was the Ladies captain in the same year and her chosen charity was the British Heart Foundation.   Good luck to both and thank you.

The course is very good and a tough test for little squirts like me.

'TOGS' website

TOGS is  an acronym for Tynemouth Old Gits Society.

We are a group of 16 golfers who assemble every Saturday morning and  play as any golf society would.

We play all through the winter months on Saturday mornings.

We all start at our official club handicap and each week the winner comes down 2 and the runner up 1.    Any other score of 36 or more is pulled by 1.    Each player's  best 6 scores are recorded for posterity and formulated into a league table.

I also have a  "TOGS" Golf  Page - have a look.

Glen Haynes professional golfer.    (awaiting link)

Aussie Glen was kind enough, some may say brave enough, to invite me as part of his team to a Pro Am in Mijas a couple of years back and although I was hopeless the week was a great experience.   You can follow Glen's progress on the pro tour and see what else he is  up to on his new site which is evolving as you read.

Glen's wife Helen is the best female transplant golfer in the world and won the Gold medal at the World Transplant Games with a gross score good enough to have won a medal in the men's competition.   She has serious competition these days from young Rachel Reynolds (see below)

Swingfix - Transplant lady golfer, Rachael Reynolds' dad Steve has patented this simple gizmo to give you the perfect swing every time.   If Rachael (8 hcp) is anything to go by, I can recommend it.

Edmondstown Golf Club - Republic of Ireland

Check out this website, it was the venue for the golf competition at the 2004 European Transplant Games - 7 miles out of Dublin.
The course is excellent and I had the misfortune to play it very badly.   I shall return one day to see if I can play it.
What about the website?   Come on Tynemouth Golf Club, you're missing a trick here.   Not any more, see the link above.

bullet

Royal Musselburgh Golf Club - To promote transplant and donor awareness I compete in a Scottish competition called 'The Golden Glove'.   The event is played on this magnificent golf course.   Take the tour.

Golftext - If you are considering a golf day as a fundraiser, give the experts a ring.   I am considering doing just that, and you are already invited if you fancy entering a team.

Due to all of my sporting commitments I am not having a golf day this year, but you can!
